IWFM Conference 2022

Change, 2022, Conference...

IWFM’s annual Conference returned last week (June 8th) in Euston and received a huge reception as always.

Hosted at Searcys in London, the all-day event discussed this year’s theme – Agents of Change. Sustainability is a subject which is increasingly talked about in all industries, and Facilities Management isn’t an exception. It is wholly agreed that the organisations that form our economy and those that drive those organisations, want an ethical, fair and sustainable future.

As well as this, the space, technology and culture of our workplaces is changing rapidly. Since the start of the pandemic two years ago, our daily lives have been heavily impacted, and our work set-ups have also had to deal with that change. Many companies offer hybrid working as an option now, encouraging employees to divide their work time between their home and the office, because it worked so well when we needed it the most. As well as this, some companies work from home full time now.

IWFM CEO Linda Hausmanis said: “If one word captures this year’s conference, it’s ‘change’. We believe workplace and facilities management professionals are the agents of change that our organisations, our economy and our world need to create an ethical, fair and sustainable future. The opportunity to shape effective workplace strategies fit for tomorrow’s challenges is real.”

The conference was a huge success, with a variety of fantastic key speakers offering their time and expertise throughout the day, along with networking opportunities and a chance for those attending to share their opinions and experiences.

We hope everyone in attendance enjoyed the day and found it both inspiring and beneficial!
