​The Team had a fantastic day filled with excitement, teamwork and a worthy cause in June, taking part in The Woking & Sam Beare Hospice’s annual Dragon Boat Race. The event brought together community members, local businesses and paddling enthusiasts for a day of friendly competition and fundraising.

The Woking & Sam Beare Hospice has been a pillar of support for many in the community, offering not only medical care but also emotional support to patients and their families. The funds raised through this event ensure that the hospice can continue its invaluable work, providing comfort and dignity to those in need.

Set against the scenic backdrop of Goldsworth Park, the event kicked off with an air of anticipation and camaraderie. Teams adorned in vibrant and creative costumes filled the riverside. Each team consisted of 16 paddlers, a drummer to keep the rhythm, and a helmsperson to steer the boat. The collective energy was palpable as participants warmed up, paddles in hand, ready to take on the water.

The Team at Bridge Recruitment were proud to be a part of the event and we look forward to supporting the Hospice again next year!
