Bridge Armed Forces Week

Armed Forces Week 2021

Armed Forces Week, 2021, Army...

Next Monday (21/6) marks the start of Armed Forces Week 2021, a weeklong event held annually to celebrate and recognise the work carried out by those involved in the Armed Forces community, from those currently serving to Service Families, Veterans, Cadets, Reservists and Volunteers.

Throughout the pandemic, the support from the Forces has been incredible. Whether it’s been to drive ambulances, airlift supplies, help build emergency hospitals or transport tests, vaccines and PPE to our territories overseas, each and every one of them have played a pivotal role in providing for and supporting us as a nation.

Here at Bridge, we understand the importance of raising awareness for those within the Armed Forces. As a recruitment company in the Facilities Management sector, we have the opportunity to engage with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and the Armed Forces is one of them. Those coming from the Forces bring a variety of valuable skills and their previous places of employment provide them with the experience and attitude to succeed in future roles. We value each and every one of our Reservist Employees and appreciate their contributions to the FM industry and beyond.

Bridge also proudly holds the Silver Award for the Armed Forces Covenant, a pledge that we understand and acknowledge that those in the Armed Forces past and present and their families are treated fairly in the community, economy and society in which they serve. The Covenant aims to ensure members of the Armed Forces community are treated the same way as any other citizen and support is provided in a number of areas including education, healthcare, residency and careers.

To those who are a part of the Armed Forces community, we are proud to support you and we are grateful for all you have done and all that you continue to do.
