Role: Night Cleaning Manager
Salary: £50k and standard benefits package
Job Status: Permanent / Full Time- Hours will be Sunday to Thursday 21:00 - 06:00 (but occasionally 22:00 - 07:00)

Role Description:
Our Client delivers horizontal and associated cleaning services to a well recognised Property Management Company in the Canary Wharf area. They require a Night Cleaning Manager to oversee a Deputy Manager and team of Cleaning Operatives (approx 15) in delivering outstanding service to this client who are a leading Organisation in the regeneration of urban projects across Europe. They are responsible for the regeneration of 128 acres of once derelict land in the East End of London.
Duties:
You will lead the night operations team to service multiple sites across the campus. You will ensure first class service delivery by developing people, building relationships and empowering your Team to perform to the best of their ability.
Your key building responsibility will be to deliver a first-class cleaning service to the client
Hold weekly team meetings with direct reports ensuring company policies and procedures are followed and requirements / expectations are fully communicated at all levels
Review best practice and present new ideas to keep ahead of the cleaning industry
Attend meetings and arrange training as required to accommodate the role
Undertake any additional task as instructed by the line manager or above
Oversee the operational delivery of the Night Team including periodic team as required and ensure the on-site team has the correct skill set to perform their role unsupported and to the highest standard
To develop and maintain high level of service delivery for the night team including Periodic Team
Deal with reactive situations and the development of an agile workforce
Ensure Quality checks are completed daily, and daily compilation reports are accurate to the level of service and SLA’s
Ensure consistent and high-level service delivery across the client
Work closely with Duty Night Manager and the wider team, reporting on progress and developments
Ensure HSE guidelines and regulations are always followed
Monitor, record and investigate accidents and near misses
Take part in the ‘call out’ rota and attend emergency call outs if required
Health & Safety Champion for the client encouraging a HSE culture for the team and Clients
Keep requestors updated on progress where deemed necessary based on SLA and priority of work request
Ensure operational statutory compliance and completion of PPM works for the client
Responsible for following all business continuity and evacuation procedures and being part of any testing
To assist in the recruitment of employees, to include but not limited to appraisals, interviews, training and HR relevant documentation and HR processes
Supporting management from other shifts may be a requirement from time to time.
Person Specification:
Qualifications:
Manager with 5 years’ experience, managing nights with 20 people plus
Professional qualifications
Knowledge of the Specialist Cleaning division is a plus
UK driving licence is a plus
Experiences:
Strong customer and client focus - must have experience in customer facing Facilities Management environment
Evidence of managing performance and identifying improvements using management data
Supplier management - must have experience of managing suppliers in a similar type of environment
Team Player
Communication - good level written, oral communications skills. An influential communicator, with the ability to deliver clear and concise messages and identify mutually agreeable solutions
Proven track record of achievement
Demonstrates experience of coordinating and supervising soft services and full awareness of H&S issues
Able to work out of hours to support service delivery needs as necessary.
