Job Purpose:
Bridge Recruitment has been appointed to source an Account Manager to take ownership of the cleaning and compliance aspect of a prestigious building in Central London, and associated tenants. The role will be the day to day management of the Assistant Manager, Supervisor and cleaning teams, to adapt a flexible work schedule and support the team in achieving the expected standards, their development and wellbeing. Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager.
Working at both an operational and tactical level, the candidate will need to develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders in order to drive the implementation and delivery of the company strategy. This is an opportunity for an already established manager to further develop and get involved in one of the key accounts in the business.
Summary of Main Responsibilities and Activities:
Liaise with Clients on a daily basis and build strong relationships based on customer focus and care
To deal with any ad-hoc requests in a prompt and professional manner
Management and coordination of Cleaning staff, Site supervisors and periodic teams
Managing and inputting payroll on a monthly basis for the team
Ensure smooth day-to-day operation of the service, with compliance to industry standards and in line with health and safety legislation and requirements
Understanding control of contracts - ensuring they are run to budget
Contract reporting - producing monthly, quarterly and annual reports
Recruit and select strong and responsive team members as required
Build a positive rapport with the client and key stakeholders
Monitoring and achieving levels of cleaning in line with the contract’s SLAs
Plan and be flexible with working times and priorities for each day
Monitoring equipment/uniform/stock levels and liaising with site supervisors in order to arrange appropriate cover when needed.
Carrying out first level HR duties and staff training requirements
Support sustainability initiatives and motivate staff to get engaged
Ensure staff wellbeing and monitor mental health
Ensure the financial aspects of the contract are dealt with and budgets adhered to
Ensuring consumables and materials are ordered
Seeking innovation within the industry.
Skills Requirements:
Important to have a knowledge of the cleaning industry with Commercial Awareness
Staff management and delegation experience
Hardworking and trustworthy who takes pride in their work
Able to adapt well to any working environment, follow procedures and guidelines and have very good communication skills
Work well under pressure
Conscientious, honest, punctual and extremely reliable
Work well as a team member or independently, enthusiastic and willing to be versatile with changing priorities
Excellent organisation skills, competent in I.T. i.e., Google docs. And to be able to present new ideas and methods, using your own initiative in order to maximise the level of services and innovations
Discretion, as will possess access to confidential and sensitive company/employee information and will be expected to keep this knowledge private
To be on hand for all site staff with any issues they may have
Ability to motivate others
On-going training in cleaning functions and tasks, management, health & safety and first aid
Knowledge of HSEQ, RAMS, COSHH & general industry practices
Person Specification
A demonstrable track record of successfully delivering in a similar role.
Excellent understanding of cleaning services and associated services relevant to the requirements of the role, or transferable knowledge and experience from a related relevant sector.
Relevant professional or technical qualification or competence.
Management and leadership experience.
Demonstrable evidence of developing and sustaining a customer focussed culture.
Proven track record of successful financial and commercial management in line with the team’s objectives.
Able to understand contract obligations and corporate governance and convey the appropriate aspects to team members.
Able to recognise the development needs of oneself and others and utilise this to achieve the best outcome.
Able to deal with challenging situations.
