Reflecting on 2020: a year of Highs, Lows and new Opportunities
As 2020 draws to an end, here at Bridge Recruitment we’ve been having a look back on the year and what we’ve faced and overcome in the last 12 months.
First off, we’d like to extend our gratitude to those we’ve had the pleasure of working alongside this year (whether it be in person or from a safe social distance!) and we’re looking forward to seeing what the new year has in store for us.
As you know, this year has been a challenging one for us all but one where we have been given the opportunity to adapt and make things work for us for the better. We’re not exaggerating when we say hundreds of industry events, meetings and seminars haven’t been able to go ahead in person this year. Fortunately, as a nation, we’ve adapted and moved with the times to allow these events to still go ahead, ‘attending’ them virtually from the comfort of our own home. The technology allowing these kinds of virtual events to take place despite the situation we’ve been faced with is remarkable and has made us feel more connected than ever before. As well as that, it has really supported our structure and helped our way of working, in ways that will take our business further in the future.
We know we’re not on our own when we say we’ve had to change the way we work in order to keep others safe and working from home is now our new norm. Working from home was a relatively new thing for us as, like many of you, we were used to working alongside colleagues in an office environment. Fast forward to mid-year and we had joined the work from home club and rather than feel sceptical about it, we persevered, and it has really helped us to improve our way of working. Although our Team hasn’t seen much of each other this year, it has helped us to feel more connected than ever, just by being on the other end of the phone. The flexibility of working from home has also meant that we’re now able to work from whichever location suits us, so long as we can still keep in contact with our candidates and clients.
To our candidates and clients, thank-you for sticking with us in very uncertain times. We know this year hasn’t been an easy ride for you either, but we’re grateful for the continued support and contact from you all in one of the most challenging years yet. As always, we will do our utmost to support and represent you in the new year and beyond.
The Team will be back on January 4, so please don’t hesitate to contact us then if you are seeking recruitment assistance across the FM industry. We can support all your resourcing requirements!
In the meantime, Bridge Recruitment would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and all the best for a happy and healthy new year!
