Craig’s Berlin Marathon

CSR, Charity

Craig Douglas, Bridge Recruitment’s newest Senior Consultant will be running the 2017 Berlin Marathon for Prostate Cancer UK.

Prostate Cancer Charity was founded in 1996 and was the first national organisation for prostate cancer in the UK. Their aim is to ‘improve the care and welfare of those affected by prostate cancer, increase investment in research, and raise public and political awareness of a long-neglected disease’.

Craig’s goal is to raise a minimum of £500 for the charity before 24th September 2017.  If you would like to support this cause please share this blog with your friends and family.

Donations can be given through the following link: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/CraigDouglas2017

“I am running the Berlin Marathon this year in aid of Prostate Cancer UK. In 2016 one man an hour died from prostate cancer in the UK. That’s 10,900 men. Based on current trends, this number will rise to over 14,500 men a year by 2026. Prostate cancer is often overlooked and men can be too embarrassed to have checks, or are simply unaware of the importance of them”.

“On a personal level, I enjoy running and have completed half marathons before but never the full Marathon. This will be a big challenge for me but one I believe I can accomplish with the correct training and support from my family and friends”. Craig Douglas

Everyone at Bridge is behind you Craig – we wish you the best of luck!
