Role Description:
‘The Centre’ a shopping centre in Feltham, requires a Site manager to look after the premises cleaning. The location has a footprint of one Million Square Ft and is home to over 60 stores, including high street brands.
This is a permanent position of 35 hours per week, with one working weekend a month and you will be managing a team of 5-10 cleaners and you will need to help with ad-hoc cleaning as required.
Main duties and responsibilities.
• Liaise with Clients on a daily basis and build strong relationships based on customer focus and care
• To deal with any ad-hoc requests in a prompt and professional manner
• Management and coordination of cleaning staff, Site supervisors and periodic teams
• Ensure smooth day-to-day operation of the service, with compliance to industry standards and in line with health safety legislation and requirements
• Understanding control of contracts – ensuring they are run to budget and staff hours are input correctly
• Contract reporting – producing weekly reports ahead of meetings with Account Manager
• Recruit and select strong and responsive team members as required
• Build a positive rapport with the client and key stakeholders
• Monitoring and achieving levels of cleaning in line with the company’s QA programme
• Plan and be flexible with working times and priorities for each day
• Monitoring equipment/uniform/stock levels and liaising with site supervisors in order to arrange appropriate cover when needed
• Carrying out first level HR duties and staff training requirements
Essential Skills / Ability
• Important to have a knowledge of the cleaning industry with Commercial Awareness
• Staff management and delegation experience
• Hardworking and trustworthy who takes pride in their work
• Able to adapt well to any working environment, follow procedures and guidelines and have very good communication skills and work well under pressure
• Conscientious, honest, punctual and extremely reliable
• Work well as a team member or independently, enthusiastic and willing to be versatile with changing priorities
• Discretion, as will possess access to confidential and sensitive company/employee information and will be expected to keep this knowledge private
• To be on hand for all site staff with any issues they may have
