Role Description: Site Cleaning Manager (Manufacturing Plant)

You will be reporting to the National Account Manager, as Site Cleaning Manager. You will cover the manufacturing cleaning operation, a health and safety back ground and IOSH is essential. You will be responsible for driving hygiene standards and change on site targets with a clear focus on quality, efficiency and profitability.

Job Function / Responsibilities

  • Plan, prioritise and organise the work load of the Hygiene operatives, ensuring they are fully utilised and completing tasks accurately and on time
  • Ensure that safe standards of hygiene are maintained throughout the site and the cleanliness level achieved exceeds legislator, client and customer requirements
  • Ensure the results of any internal audits are raised with the relevant Management and where necessary assist in drawing up a corrective action plan. Escalate to Site Management or Directors when non-conformances have not been closed out in  a timely manner or where there is a recurring issue
  • Review factory operations on daily basis and ensure adherence to hygiene standards at all times
  • Undertake supplier audits to ensure compliance to regulatory requirement
  • Create and implement cleaning schedules ensuring full compliance
  • To attend regular Production and Technical meetings
  • To complete investigations as and when required
  • To ensure employees within the team are managed and trained in accordance with company requirements. Carry out performance reviews ensuring the staff have the right skills to cover all hygiene tasks in the factory
  • Monitor, develop, review and apply corrective actions for the achievement of KPIs
  • Awareness of allergen environment and the controls required 

Essential Education / Training / behaviours

  • Educated to HNC level (NVQ Level 4) or equivalent in a related subject, Business Management, Manufacturing, Engineering and Food Technology
  • Health & Safety Awareness, IOSH/NEBOSH
  • Experience of driving hygiene improvements and associated cultural change in a manufacturing business
  • Strong background in setting and delivering hygiene objectives
  • Able to present statistical reports
  • Experience of budget / financial management
  • Able to coach and mentor others, championing the required values and behaviours
  • Resilience
  • Able to influence and all levels
  • Excellent Client management skills
