Hours: 40 hours per week, although will be required to work some evenings and weekends

Role Description:
Our client, a multi-functional family-run cleaning company, is looking for an experienced Senior Operations Manager to join their team. Established in 2003 as a window cleaning business, the company has evolved and now wants to expand their team further. As Senior Operations Manager, you will be overseeing the smooth running of all cleaning and housekeeping services, ensuring they are delivered to the highest standard. The ideal Senior Operations Manager would have experience in a similar working environment and to management level.

Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to form, maintain and develop working relationships between customers, clients and colleagues alike
  • Grow and develop new business that is both profitable and sustainable for the business
  • Be able to delegate issues and still maintain a level of customer care
  • Provide solutions to customer issues where necessary
  • Push full product portfolio to all nominated customers within the sector
  • Obtain 'preferred supplier' status with nominated and targeted accounts
  • Drive the company brand and full product portfolio of services in all areas of your work
  • Be proactive in learning technology innovation that could enhance relationships and develop further revenue
  • Maintain accurate customer records using reporting systems, correct diary management and monthly reports
  • Maintain effective relationships with all departments at all levels to ensure the best level of communication and customer service
  • Develop contracts and accounts and ensure recognition is received through industry awards within the cleaning sector
  • Research potential opportunities to ensure you are one step ahead always
  • To ensure adequate and approved labour is always on site to ensure that services are run in line with contractual terms and in line with company policy
  • To manage absenteeism for both short- and long-term absences, ensuring standard processes are followed
  • To regularly review service standards and identify potential efficiencies to the contract

Requirements:

  • Experience at management level would be essential
  • Must understand the service and have good knowledge of the FM industry
  • Experience of working to strict operational regulations
  • Financial budgets, payroll and overspending - must have knowledge and experience in working in these areas
  • Flexible working attitude
  • Able to work as part of a team and adopt varied role requirements
  • Experience of leading employees who work shift patterns
  • Good experience of roster management
  • Excellent awareness of the importance of customer service and focus

  • Organisational skills
  • IT literate - able to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
