Our client is a young company that provides specialist cleaning & facility services within the private and public sector. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of a leading FM group in Europe. The company wishes to expand and strengthen their sales team to the considerable success that it has achieved to date and build a stronger profile in the UK market. They are very well placed to grow aggressively offering an exceptional service. The purpose of the position is to ensure growth and to obtain new contracts for the business with an annual target of new revenue as specified in the Business Development Strategy. The Senior Business Development Manager is not only responsible for ensuring new business but also to retain existing contracts, build up the reputation for the company throughout the UK and manage the companies Supplies as well as Specialist Cleaning division.

Main Duties:

  •  Development of sales opportunities
  • Making contacts through networking
  • Manage relationships to future and existing clients
  • Collaborates with MD to develop sales strategies
  • Completion and submission of competitive and profitable PQQs and Tenders
  • Creating detailed proposal documents, often as part of a formal bidding process
  • Leading Tender Presentations
  • Build up the name and reputation for the company throughout the UK
  • Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales
  • Performs sales activities on major accounts and negotiates sales price and discounts in consultation with MD
  • Manage and lead the sales department
  • Initiation and execution of marketing campaigns
  • Assist and support the Managing Director as required during his absence
  • Submitting a weekly and monthly report to the MD
  • Attending a weekly meeting with the MD
  • Attending team meetings and sharing best practice with colleagues
  • To attend training course and seminars where and when necessary
