Role Description:

Bridge Recruitment are currently networking for a Sales/Business Development Manager to join the Team of one of our clients, a dynamic FM service provider based in East London who is expanding due to continued growth with new and existing clients. As Sales/Business Development Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of the sales process while developing relationships across commercial and public sectors. The ideal Sales/Business Development Manager will have a minimum of two years' experience within the commercial cleaning sector, and experience in developing and increasing business. This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of a Team that is growing in terms of size and client base, providing you with an opportunity to expand on your knowledge and skillset.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop business relationships across commercial and public sectors

  • Surveying of sites/jobs in order to establish client's requirements

  • Actively work to build knowledge and rapport with clients which will involve visiting sites

  • Submission of quotations as well as experience in preparing and managing tender bids

  • Generate new business opportunities in line with monthly activity and sales targets

  • Prompt and accurate reporting to Management as necessary

  • Responsible for all stages of the sales process from cold calling to negotiating and closing the sale

  • Maintain a professional relationship with customers and ensure they are kept satisfied with the company's services

  • Record all information, sales activity and communication held in a database

  • Provide accurate information through to the operational team to ensure contract/job requirements are met and to enable a successful start to the contract

  • Build a pipeline for single and multiple site services and bundled services

Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will be experienced in Sales and Business Development within the FM sector and have a proven track record of being able to generate new business opportunities, they must have previous experience of selling into commercial and public sector

  • A good operational knowledge in commercial cleaning services would be essential

  • An energetic individual who is passionate about the services they sell

  • Must be able to build strong relationships with existing and new clients as well as collaborate with the Management team to help drive sales to hit target

  • Must have an abundance of enthusiasm and determination, to ensure you can capitalise on the opportunity and achieve the potential rewards the role has to offer

  • You must be able to demonstrate a confident and professional telephone manner, a good level of general Microsoft Office skills and be able to prioritise tasks in order to meet deadlines

  • The majority of your sales will be focused on new business so you must be a motivated self starter

  • Able to self-generate own leads

  • The salesperson should be bringing contracts with them and hitting the ground running

  • Key Targets in geographical area, block in time within the same geographical area to make the best use of time

  • Minimum two years' experience within the commercial cleaning sector

  • Proven experience of working with the cleaning sector

  • Proven experience of developing and increasing business

  • Computer literate and comfortable using a computer for various tasks

  • Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Knowledge/experience in core services

  • A driving licence check is a prerequisite
