Role Description:
Our Client is a highly reputable cleaning company in the Northwest of England. Established in 1978, the business provides cleaning services on a nationwide scale, working with clients regardless of size of their cleaning requirements. Delivering reliable and efficient quality cleaning services is the company's number one priority and they are currently looking for a Sales Director to join their 1500-strong Team.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop sales in geographical areas around existing business and obtain multi-site work throughout the UK to meet and or exceed targets
  • Ensure company profitability and growth
  • Develop, communicate and implement the sales strategy in line with the Company’s operating board vision, strategy, and values
  • Work with Business Development Manager(s) and Sales Hub to achieve agreed sales target and plan and with operations, services and marketing departments to maximise business opportunities
  • Work with the Sales Team to create new business by research, surveys, presentations and successful closing techniques
  • Create organisational plans and direct activities to achieve annual budgets
  • Update and agree the sales, marketing and pricing strategy annually
  • Organise meetings within the sales department to ensure that targets are met, and ensure plans are regularly reviewed
  • Manage the Sales Team and make them accountable for their performance and ensure internal sales systems are effective
  • Personal development and mentoring of the Sales Team
  • Liaise with operations and other functional/departmental managers to ensure they are fully informed of sales objectives, purposes and achievements
  • Communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations and liaise with relevant personnel
  • Report to operating board on the progress of sales performance, plans and if necessary, propose changes to strategy
  • Control and authorise expenditure in line with budgets
  • Appointment of staff with the approval of the Managing Director
  • Execute responsibilities of a Company Director with due care and skill in a lawful and ethical manner in accordance with the Corporate Responsibility Policy
  • Chair meetings and ensure everyone involved has a fair opportunity to contribute

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experience in a similar field of work and or environment
  • Experience of meeting and exceeding targets
  • Must be able to drive sales process from plan to close
  • Have the ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Experience as Head of Sales
  • Demonstrate initiative, drive and enthusiasm
  • Must possess excellent listening, negotiation, presentation, verbal and written communication skills
