Role Description:
Our Client, a customer-focused company within the hygiene sector, is looking to appoint a Regional Sales Manager to join their Team. With 45 years of industry experience, the Company is looking to add to their growing Team. The Regional Sales Manager would ideally have experience in a sales environment and will be responsible for the overall increase in sales revenue through the execution of new business opportunities and growth. As Regional Sales Manager you will also be responsible for a Team consisting of Area Sales Managers, helping to train, develop, motivate and encourage them to perform to their best ability with the company's and customer's best interests in mind.
  • Maintain and uphold company policies, standards and practices within your Team and ensure they have full understanding of what is expected of them
  • Support, manage, coach, motivate and mentor your Team of Hygiene Sales Experts to highlight areas of strengths and weaknesses and action accordingly
  • Participate in joint sales calls with Team members, while actively supporting and leading on large breakthrough opportunities and existing customer contracts
  • Use various company defined IT systems to effectively manage Team pipelines, report activity, track sales, forecast and communicate both internally and externally
  • Work closely with individuals at all levels in order to be able to offer an enhanced service to new and existing customer
  • Regularly attend internal and external meetings in order to discuss operations within the company and ensure operations are being maintained and executed correctly across the board
  • Carry out market research to keep you one step ahead of the hygiene market, always be aware of competitors and new legislation, and be sure to share your findings with your Team members and sales leaderships teams where necessary
  • Be sure to follow all company policies and procedures in all areas of your work, and maintain throughout. This is to include the commercial DOA, pricing book, policies, tender and bidding processes and standard codes of ethics and Health and Safety.
Role Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or the equivalent in work experience (ideally a commerce or business studies background
  • Must be able to demonstrate the use of advanced sales skills
  • Be customer-focused and have the ability to handle customer concerns where necessary
  • Excellent management and leadership skills are a must - have the ability to coach, motivate, support and train a Team while setting goals and expectations
  • Proven track record in sales management and examples of driving revenue through an existing customer base
  • Strong communication, management, interpersonal, problem solving and negotiation skills are extremely important
  • Broad business acumen with strong analytical and decision making skills
  • Must have a valid UK driving licence and be able to travel locations within the UK to attend nationwide meetings.
