Role: Project Manager - Mechanical and Electrical Engineering

Salary: £65k plus car allowance 20 days holiday (plus bank holidays)

Role Description:

Our Client pride themselves on having exceptional technical skills, delivered by in-house engineers and industry experts. They are continually developing those skills across all aspects of technical building services and drainage solutions. They have an expanding business portfolio and require exceptional people to build on what has already been achieved. 

On this basis, they are seeking a M & E Project Manager and the requirements are as follows: 

• To ensure the maintenance and the compliance of the ISO Standards and to ensure the staff members within their areas of supervision are adhering to the ISO Standards, identifying any training needs, if required
• Oversee Mechanical projects from tender stage through to completion
• Manage and coordinate all aspects of the design
• Manage and coordinate all aspects of the procurement, installation, and commissioning of projects
• Taking whole responsibility for the project and quality of work - including management of employees, subcontractors, ensuring materials and equipment arrive on site on time and work is completed as per programme
• Projects ranging in size from large residential, design & build, commercial and industrial from £50,000 and up to around £2.5 million in value
• Working from office, however projects are in various regions therefore there will be some travel to sites as and when required
• Responsible for all financial and management aspects of the project and report back to key Stakeholder parties
• Liaise with client / main contractor
• Maintenance of quality, health, and safety standards.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working within the construction industry
• Good proactive personality with an emphasis on client relations
• Good Mechanical engineering background
• Relevant electrical qualifications and ideally HNC/ HND in Building Services although not essential
• Knowledge within the Building Services, M&E sectors, and ideally having worked for an M&E Contractor
• Strong project management/ contracts management background and experience delivering high value projects
• Excellent communication and organisation skills essential
• Ability to lead and mentor a cross-functional team essential
• Minimum 5+ years' experience in a similar role essential
• Commercially focused.
