Role Description: 

A National Business Development is required to join a Company that has seen strong success as a privately owned company, with national coverage as a Facility Service Provider. They have established long term relationships with major blue chip clients in specific market sectors or expertise, mainly being the Leisure, Events and Retail sectors. To support the growth plan, they require someone with strong and steady sales experience in the FM industry to fulfill the following

  • Delivery of allocated sales targets
  • Maintenance of the development plan
  • Proactively build client relationships to maintain a strong pipeline and win rate
  • Successfully lead large complex bids to clients
  • Ensure compliance with all business processes
  • Ensure the client database/CRM is up to date
  • Recruit, lead and develop a team of Business Development Managers to deliver sales targets

Sales Achievement:

  • Develop and manage the pipeline of sales opportunities that will meet personal and team sales targets 
  • Support the marketing strategy for the sector to raise profile of the Company
  • Actively maintain a strong knowledge of the industry, client, sector and competitor trends
  • Actively manage the routes to market and identify and attend networking events
  • Engage and nurture executive relationships across the industry which will generate new business opportunities and raise the profile of the company in the sectors highlighted
  • Keep all stakeholders informed as opportunities progress through the cycle
  • Lead the way for each of bid submission process to ensure deadlines are met with high quality outputs
  • To ensure client insights/needs are included within all service solutions
  • Lead opportunities through to financial and commercial closure with the client
  • Lead the smooth hand over to mobilisation and operational teams
  • Flexibility to support the business as needs arise
