Role Description:
Our Client is a fast-growing and dynamic organisation who have seen incredible growth since starting 10 years ago. 
To support their growth and expansion plans, they are now recruiting a Head of Sales to head up their sales department. In this role, you will be required to manage, motivate, coach and train the Sales Team, generate new business and represent the business in all areas of your role. Additionally, a Head of Sales will ideally form longstanding relationships with a wide range of Staff and ensure new business is viable and profitable. This role is the most senior role, heading up the business’s Sales department and you will support, motivate and focus your Team on winning business and achieving professional goals. 
This role requires someone who is focused on supporting the current team but is also able to support and nurture the strategic vision that the Team have to further develop the business on a national scale. 
 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key Sales and Commercial contributor, providing significant ideas and strategies to the business
  • Locate new business opportunities in line with Company procedure
  • Liaise with the Board and the Head of Marketing with regards to the development and growth of the business
  • Produce and approve strategic objectives for growth and probability plans
  • Ensure potential and new business is viable and profitable
  • Support bids and content for tender responses, in line with Client requirements
  • Train, lead, mentor and manage your Team in order to deliver to a high standard
  • Provide timely and accurate performance data of KPIs and sales performance
  • Form effective working relationships with a wide range of Staff, both internally and externally, along with potential Clients
  • Travel to mandatory Company meetings and presentations
  • Reach and exceed revenue and margin targets
  • Develop and grow the Sales Team
