Job Title: Group Financial Controller 
Salary: £70k plus benefits package 
Role Status: Permanent / Full Time 
Location: Hertfordshire based - travel to other offices that are Berkshire and Wiltshire

This role will report to the Chief Executive and will oversee the finance department which functions across 3 sites. You will be supporting an organisation with a turnover of c£30m. 
 
Purpose of the Job:
  • Take responsibility for all functions within the accounts department
  • To maximise opportunities and profitability
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the finance function and oversee the finance team
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash flow
  • Maintenance of financial ledgers and accounting processes
  • Preparation of Monthly Consolidation P&L and balance sheet
  • Timely production of statutory and internal finance reports
  • Financial modelling and analysis
  • Cash Management and treasury duties
  • Ensure that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained
  • Oversee the payroll process
  • Prepare VAT returns
  • Attend meetings with prospects, board members and clients, including travelling within agreed regions
  • Work closely with managers and directors to ensure that each client receives a high level of customer service
  • To always represent the company at industry and business events and its products and services in a professional and knowledgeable manner
  • Proactively manage time in accordance with company sales expectation
Scope:
  • You will have experience and knowledge within the cleaning sector or similar and an ability to manage and deliver to deadlines
  • You will have experience of multi-site organisational systems
  • Thorough knowledge of the contracting market in the UK and Ireland
  • You will have leadership skills and the ability to direct and develop a strong team. Additionally, you will have presence, gravitas, and charisma to help stand out amongst others
  • You will be sales driven and a natural leader who has respect for people and the ability to bring out the best of them
  • Have energy, the right attitude and enthusiasm to build relationships with clients and in turn, establish profitable growth
  • You must be a dynamic individual who can lead from the front
