Role: Estimator - Roofing Services

Salary: £40k plus benefits

Role Description:

This role is to work for a small but ambitious Roofing Specialists with exciting plans for the future. Your role will add value to their passionate culture and ensure that proposed projects are costed effectively so that margins are protected and tenders are competitive. Main Responsibilities:  

· Costing tenders

· Checking developing designs against the project budget  

· Preparing cost plans, estimates and cash flow projections  

· Advising on procurement strategy 

· Researching, sourcing, negotiating and obtaining the best prices and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors  

· Analysing data that can affect costs 

· Inputting into decisions about whether to bid for a project 

· Preparing tender pricing documents  

· Estimating the cost of variations  

Tracking variations and monitoring project progression, ensuring that costs remain under control.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

· A proven career history within the Roofing industry - pricing and measuring job specifications

· Extensive knowledge of roofing products, suppliers and material selection  

· Clear and strong communication skills - verbal and written

· Highly numerate  

· Experience of using Buildertrend (or similar CRM)  

· Full driving licence  

· Experience of working on projects ranging from £20K to £100K

Ability to analyse complicated and detailed data
