Role Description:
Our client, a highly reputable company within the cleaning industry, is looking to appoint a Divisional Manager to join their growing team. Founded in 1960, this company is a national provider of professional, tailored and bespoke cleaning solutions. As Divisional Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring your team knows what is expected of them and will act as a driving force for them to achieve and exceed targets. The ideal Divisional Manager will have a sound educational background and will have relevant experience in the cleaning industry or other related industry.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the division operates to the maximum service levels in line with operational, process and financial plans
- Ensure management achieves and exceeds customer and client expectations at all times
- Control the management of assigned contracts and promote good business relationships with customers, clients and the company
- Ensure KPIs and SLAs are met consistently
- Drive the team to manage client relationships across the contract
- Know and understand company ethos and values to ensure this is propagated throughout the business
- Develop, build and maintain professional and proactive business relationships with clients at all levels
- Ensure cost effective and running of contracts is in line with budget
- Provide support for management to ensure smooth running of operations
- Develop and implement reporting methods to management team and clients
- Be aware of new business opportunities to maximise profitability
- Attend contract reviews and tender presentations on behalf of the company
- Compile an agreed report submitted to the CEO and Group Operations Director on actions to be discussed
- Ensure all corrective actions for the business are conducted, recorded and signed off
- Liaise with colleagues and directors to ensure communication across all areas of the business
- Monthly P&L reviews to be carried out with Financial Controller and Operations Director
- Ensure planned schedules are up to date and meet the contract specification
- Maintain accurate site contract administration files
- Provide leadership and direction to all site-based staff
- Be responsible for projects and offer support where necessary
- Ensure site-based staff have the correct skill and competence levels to carry out relevant tasks
- Prepare monthly reports for the Operations Director and client
- Ensure company maintains adherence with statutory compliance processes at all times
- Ensure sales opportunities are recognised and fully explored
- Build relationships and network during industry events and seminars
- Attend meetings with company prospects and clients as required - this will require travelling to various locations
- Liaise closely with managers and directors ensuring a high level of customer service is achieved
- Proactively manage time accordingly
- Review and retain existing clients from previous business relationships
- Be aware of and develop new business leads
- Follow company policies and procedures at all times
- Review all cost models with Group Operations Director
Requirements:
- A sound educational background with relevant qualifications is desirable
- Practical experience at managerial level in the cleaning industry or other relevant industry
