Job Overview:

As Senior Business Development Manager, you will hold responsibility for the creation, development, sales and deployment of client solutions within the soft FM industry. You will work to achieve the award of cleaning services across the UK for a business which is rapidly expanding their UK operation. Their turnover is now in excess of £60million and the company have a great pipeline of contracts with ambitious growth plans for the future. This is an exciting time to join this dynamic company who deliver innovative services to high profile Clients across the UK.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop effective relationships with existing and potential customers to ensure optimum customer relationships and commercial growth
  • Expand size of business through the award sales opportunities
  • Assisted the leadership team in managing relationships with existing customers for key account growth
  • Ensure all growth initiatives are acted upon and implemented into the business
  • Managed and participated in all relevant tenders, including presentations, bid and contract writing and promotion of the business
  • Produce and deliver customer presentations
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure that best value is being delivered by strategic suppliers and that long term mutually beneficial relationships are established and maintained
  • Plan approaches and pitches
  • Network extensively across the Industry to form contacts and expand market intelligence
  • Work with the bid team to develop proposals that match the client’s needs, service concerns and objectives
  • Commercial awareness - able to price the solution/service
  • Communicate progression of commercial development back to the business in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensure work is conducted in accordance with agreed company and customer procedures
