Role Description:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Contracts Manager to oversee the cleaning services across a large manufacturing plant in East Staffordshire. Reporting directly to the Deputy Operations Director, the Contracts Manager will be responible for a team of cleaning operatives, ensuring standards are met and guidelines are adhered to. An ideal Contracts Manager will support their Managers and Team alike, while maintaining high standards in all areas of their work.
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Responsible for the management and attendance of all shifts ensuring correct manning levels are provided 
  • To supervise and monitor the team’s activity in all areas of the site and ensure that the required standards are adhered to and Health and Safety procedures are followed
  • To monitor standards in all aspects of cleaning delivery across the portfolio and put in place necessary corrective plans to demonstrate compliance and rectification. Have experience in Corrective Action and Preventative Measure processes
  • To ensure all monthly reports and KPI’s are completed accurately and sent to relevant Manager within agreed timeframe
  • Ensure all necessary processes and procedures are in place and adhered to across the portfolio
  • Ensure all Risk Assessments, Method Statements and COSHH information is updated and site specific contractor management systems are managed again across the portfolio
  • To support Managers in the preparation of Audits and Events as well as customer led audits. Complete adhoc audits and share findings
  • To provide daily feedback to the Facilities Team regarding activity
  • To conduct daily team briefings with day and evening shifts (briefings to ensure all operatives are aware of key deliverables)
  • Ensure all staff maintains safe working practices through implementation of Company, BICSs and Health and Safety standards and regulations. Must have previous Health and Safety experience to be in a position to understand appropriate standards
  • To ensure completion of safety inspections and safety observations for site with the management of actions as per the site specific systems and management of closure with appropriate actions
  • To support the team in completion of the weekly wages, monthly wages, to manage the out of scope projects on site with finance, operational delivering and Health and Safety aspects of work
  • To organise and maintain the absence record on site including sickness and holidays, etc
  • Ensure that the delivery of cleaning meets agreed standards and site specifications through the completion of schedules across the portfolio
  • Ensure all areas are kept clean through operatives,supervisors and team leaders completing job schedules in addition to being IT skilled to oversee and close out on site specific systems
 
Attributes / Skills: 
  • At least five years’ experience in the management of cleaning contracts
  • Previous experience in account management 
  • Management Experience and Qualifications required
  • Health and Safety Qualification to NEBOSH standard is desirable
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Team orientated
  • Ability to manage people effectively
  • Good organiser
  • Presentable appearance
