We are working with one of the most successful cleaning companies in London. Their portfolio consists of the most prestigious and iconic buildings across the City of London. They are now looking to strengthen their Head office team and require a Commercial Assistant to support the Commercial Manager in overseeing and implementing contract changes and producing cost sheets for existing contracts.

Role Description:

  • Auditing subcontractor services, ensuring all costs are being charged to clients appropriately
  • Investigating subcontractor charge discrepancies and liaising where necessary
  • Designing/preparing of presentations/proposals as required
  • Client and subcontractor liaison
  • Analysing multiple cost sheets and cross-referencing
  • Completing contract amendments for any changes to contracts
  • Contract cost increases - i.e. London Living Wage and Minimum Wage
  • Cost for additional services or any changes to services i.e. frequencies
  • Liaising with Managers to ensure accurate cost sheets are maintained for all contracts
  • Covering Commercial Manager’s annual leave and ensuring contract amendments are still applied in their absence
  • Any other reasonable requests by the Commercial Manager or Finance Director.

Skill Requirement:

  • Good standard of general numeracy, English and communication
  • General financial, accounting and commercial understanding are a plus
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office/Google Work skills, especially Google Sheets/Excel spreadsheet knowledge
  • Cross-checking/attention to detail, investigative disposition
  • Client and subcontractor liaison skills
  • Awareness and understanding of the cleaning industry, as well as other departments' circumstances & operations
  • Presentation/design skills
  • High standard of organisation
