Role Description:
An organisation that delivers Facilities Management services to a wide range of Clients across the UK, are seeking someone partner with the CEO and act as the Chief Financial Officer for their Group. 
The CFO will be responsible for planning, implementing, managing and running all financial activities of the Group. This is to include financial management, accounting, internal business reporting external financial reporting, managing annual external audits and liaising with senior management while assisting with decisions, budgeting and forecasting. 
 
Key Responsibilities:
· Ensure the accuracy of all financial reporting statements of the Company, while ensuring they comply with all laws and regulations
· Work with the CEO to develop and execute new busines strategies to improve year on year
· Promote the long-term success of the Company, benefitting all employees, clients and stakeholders
· Challenge and contribute to Board decision making, using your skills and financial expertise
· Provide day-to-day oversight of the Company’s governance, controls and financial performance
· Work closely and have a strong working relationship with the CEO, and ensure appropriate standards are upheld throughout, while supporting the delivery of the Group’s business strategy, budgets and projections
· Provide commercial business insight while being proactive in challenging the status quo and be confident in bringing new ideas to the table
· Responsible for the Company’s Finance, Tax, Pensions, Audit, Payroll and Investor Relations
· Help and develop the Finance Team, communicating and briefing frequently in relation to objectives, culture, values, attitudes and behaviour
· Oversee externally appointed auditors and the successful completion of annual audited financial statements, along with annual reports and timely submission to the Audit Committee
· Ensure the Group operates sound risk management and internal control systems to safeguard stakeholders’ interests and the Group’s assets
· Maintain communication with the Chair of the Audit Committee and the Group’s external auditor
· Develop strong working relationships with fellow senior executives 
· Along with the CEO, ensure that management fulfills its obligation to provide the Group with balanced and clear financial and other relevant KPIs, preparation and presentation of monthly/quarterly board packs, the necessary tools for developing and updating the Director’s knowledge and capabilities and appropriate knowledge of the Company
· Continually support the CEO with responsibilities regarding senior management appointments, succession planning and the development of senior management talent
· Appreciate constructive criticism and use it to furth develop your performance in the future
· Carry out all matters to the best of your ability 
 
Skills and Experience:
· Professional accounting qualification
· Degree educated in finance related subject
· Operating at Executive Director level in a medium to large complex and stand-alone service organisation
· Track record of achievements and delivered results
· Developed good working relationships with internal colleagues and external agencies
· Negotiated and influenced on a number of complex financial issues
· Analytically and financially astute with the ability to maintain control
· Able to explain financial issues for a range of audiences
· An effective and professional presenter with the capability of presenting to Investors, Board and external parties
