Role Description:

Bridge Recruitment are excited to be networking for a Business Support Manager to join the Team of one of our clients, a forward-thinking commercial cleaning company which aims to deliver the best customer experience, all while achieving their sustainability goals. As Business Support Manager, you will be committed to maintaining the smooth running of the Head Office function, providing efficient support to colleagues, clients and visitors. The ideal Business Support Manager will have experience in people management, will be able to work under pressure and will be someone who can develop and maintain sustainable working relationships with clients.


  • Deliver agreed quarterly and annual efficiencies

  • Manage and oversee specific areas such as Fleet, Insurances, Supply Chain, Helpdesk, Receptionists and general Administration whether directly or through departmental Managers

  • Create a warm, welcoming and inclusive office environment for all to enjoy

  • Liaise with Managing Director and other Board members on initiatives to improve existing strategies and procedures

  • Work with Helpdesk Manager to ensure you can deliver a seamless service to customers by dealing with incoming queries effectively and efficiently

  • Ensure client calls are responded to appropriately in a timely manner

  • Consider suitable software to improve the overall service delivered and provide measurable data for review

  • Work with Supply Chain / Fleet Manager to ensure Supply chain is fully aligned with values and ethos. Ensure all parts of our Supply Chain are fit for purpose and offer value for money

  • Be aware of new suppliers and set up measures to monitor their suitability for consideration with Supply Chain Manager

  • Ensure Receptionists offer a warm and welcoming greeting to clients and visitors, manage receptionist team and ensure any required training is available

  • Manage and oversee existing Administrators and ensure that they have the tools and training required to conduct their duties correctly and efficiently

  • Prepare a monthly report to the Managing Director covering all aspects of role

  • Ensure that the management of all Mobile Operatives is run effectively through the Helpdesk nominated person

  • Produce proposals and plans to develop and challenge all wider team members

  • Establish effective working relationships with a wide range of staff internally and clients and suppliers

  • Work with Health and Safety Manager to ensure all aspects of the Head Office remain compliant with the latest regulations

  • Develop processes and procedures to ensure that all sites are equipped with up to date Health and Safety literature

  • Develop and extend an understanding of all relevant ISO accreditations and work to ensure that all Head Offices operations are conducted according to the procedures set

  • Develop and maintain a compassionate and constructive working environment for all colleagues

  • Work closely and collaboratively with all other company departments

  • Comply with the Company Procedures at all times, unless otherwise agreed in writing

  • Ensure the office is organised, effective and efficient

  • Ensure staff reporting into the Business Services Manager, either directly or indirectly, are clear about their roles, purpose and responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate methods to improve aspects of the Head Office function
