Salary: c£30k plus commission, laptop and phone

Role Description:
Our client, a highly reputable company within the cleaning industry is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their expanding team. As Business Development Manager, you will be operating within the cleaning division, generating new sales and creating sustainable working relationships with those you work alongside. As part of the Business Development Manager role, you will also be responsible for communicating, negotiating and influencing decision making.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Generate and win new business that impacts the business in a positive way
  • Working as ppart of a team when tendering for bids from start to finish, securing and maintaining new business
  • Develop and maintain sustainable working relationships at all levels
  • Create a development plan to ensure your company is the go-to for opportunities within core markets
  • Secure growth targets, revenue and implementation of a growth strategy
  • Provide solutions to future customers while retaining current business
  • Build a strong network and pipeline of opportunities
  • Deliver on all KPIs in all areas of your role
  • Communicate effectively and positively with colleagues and customers
  • Influence all decision makers both internally and externally
     

Skills and Experience:

  • Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Be smart and well presented at all times
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Be able to show the last three years of your sales targets
  • Have experience in contract bidding
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Customer service is a priority
  • Excellent networking skills
  • Be able to work to deadlines and possess excellent time management skills
  • Be polite and helpful with a positive attitude
  • Industry experience is desirable but not essential
