Role Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen with one of our highly reputable Clients working within the cleaning sector. Our Client, a commercial cleaning provider founded in 1978, has an exceptional reputation for delivering quality services nationwide to a large number of customers. Adopting a consistent, professional and personal approach is the Company's top priority and they ensure these values are considered throughout every job they take on. The are currently looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their 1500-strong Team.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new business and also retain existing business to maximise opportunities and meet or exceed sales targets
  • Liaise with the Sales Director to produce an effective Sales Business Plan
  • Carry out sales visits and presentations and complete sales visit reports
  • Be responsible for sales turnover against designated target for new customers
  • Carry out site surveys, ask Clients for specific risk assessments
  • Always work within Company policies and procedures and familiarise yourself with these to ensure maximum compliance
  • Generate and follow-up leads to develop existing database and create opportunities
  • Organise own appointments or attend those created by Telesales to develop and secure business ensuring sales targets are achieved
  • Prepare and present quotations and presentations with support and approval from Sales Director
  • Be responsible for the sales closure procedure
  • Complete weekly sales reports
  • Attend and participate in four weekly sales meetings and weekly planning meetings to discuss successes of sales plans, forecast projects, individual performance, actions to take, marketing issues and training needs
  • Liaise with the Sales Director to seek out and maximise cross selling opportunities

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience of meeting and exceeding targets preferably within the cleaning industry or FM sector
  • Ability to self-generate sales leads, identify new business and develop existing customer relationships
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills - a self-starter
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
