The Company:
Our Client, a highly reputable and well-established business in the Cleaning industry, currently has an exciting Business Development Manager role on offer. Founded in 1999, our Client has grown year on year by providing a consistent quality service to its Customers and they are looking for someone to join as a Business Development Manager, helping them to continue their growth. The ideal Business Development Manager will ideally have an established career in Sales. The Client is looking for someone from within the Industry or outside, providing support and training where required. 

Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for driving business growth as it continues to expand
  • Build a pipeline to accommodate £875k of sales annually. These will be broken down into monthly targets and a quarterly structure
  • Use multiple research methods to target businesses and their key contacts, making use of available online tools
  • Attend a number of appointments each week in the Southeast
  • Prospect on a constant basis to overachieve set targets
  • Travel to prospective sites to attend appointments, survey buildings and provide quotes for daily cleaning services
  • Focus on geographies in the Southeast
  • You will be responsible for negotiating prices and objection handling
  • Be responsible for the effective management of the full sales cycle
  • Establish and retain new business relationships and manage the sale through to close -typically four to six weeks
  • Be involved in any other relevant tasks which will further develop and boost revenue
  • Be responsible for generating new business

Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate will have a proven background in sales ideally within the cleaning sector or an associated industry
  • Experience of selling into the education or medical sectors would be preferable
  • Must be able to sell £875k+ per annum in contract value
  • The candidate must have experience in bidding and winning contracts
  • Must have the ability to work in a team while building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external teams to enhance performance in sales
  • Communication and presentation skills are a must, along with excellent mathematics skills and computer literacy skills
  • Must have the desire to succeed, along with drive and determination
  • Self-motivated with excellent prospecting skills
  • Experience selling to the education and medical sectors would also be preferable
  • Must have a valid UK driving licence and be located within an hour’s commute of London and or Wokingham
