Our Client is an industry recognised and trusted partner to several successful joint business ventures across the UK, delivering a range of services across commercial, property and care disciplines. The Branch in Devon represents the highly successful joint venture partnership between our Client and the local Council, providing a range of facilities management, catering, and contract cleaning services across the South West.
As they look to develop their expanding business portfolio, they are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager, operating out of the Exeter based office and developing business across the South West.
 
The Role: 
 
The role will challenge you to engage with a variety of clients from the public and private sector, securing business opportunities across the facilities management, catering, and cleaning service disciplines. You will be required to proactively seek opportunities, taking the lead on all potential business opportunities.
You will be supported by the central sales division and local operational delivery teams when producing tender documentation and quotations for clients, collaborating across departments to deliver your sales target.
 
It is essential for you to have sales experience in the Facilities Management Industry (preferably in a soft service related environment). 
 
Alongside this, they are looking for you to demonstrate,
· Proven commercial sales experience, ideally within both the public and private sector
· Excellent business acumen, with the ability to identify and secure new business opportunities
· Articulate communication skills, confident engaging at all levels with the ability to inform, persuade and influence
· Ability to create and deliver sales presentations that engage with a variety of audiences, adjusting tone delivery and content as required
· Attention to detail, with excellent organisational skills in a deadline and target driven environment
 
This role will require you to travel around Exeter and the South West to visit clients, so you will need to hold a Full UK Driving Licence to be considered for the role. 
 
It is essential for you to have sales experience in the Facilities Management Industry (preferably in a soft service related environment).
