Purpose of the Job:
Our client, a well-established company delivering Facilities Management services nationwide, is looking to appoint a dynamic Business Development Director (Security) to join their ambitious and driven team with a UK wide remit on a full-time basis. As Business Development Director, you will be responsible for contacting potential new business clients, understanding their needs and booking meetings. You will be expected to lead the tender process from start to finish, closing the deal in line with the company business governance process. The ideal Business Development Manager will have experience in a security sales environment, along with a proven track record of sales within security.

Responsibilities:

  • Business research via CRM database
  • Pipeline and prospect base development
  • Contact potential new business clients, understand their needs with a view to booking meetings
  • Meet and exceed appointments and sales targets
  • Diarising and maintaining up-to-date records on the CRM database
  • Build effective and sustainable relationships with prospective clients and Business Development Teams
  • Identify new business opportunities and communicate them with your team
  • Lead the tender process from start to finish
  • Close the deal in line with the company business governance process
  • Work closely with operational colleagues to maximise new business opportunities and retain existing customers in line with the divisional strategy.

Person Specification:

  • The ability to influence, encourage confidence and win new business
  • A proven track record of sales within security
  • Able to meet and exceed targets
  • Experience in data management and research
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
  • True team player - you will thrive in a collaborative environment
  • Tenacious, engaging and ambitious
  • Previous experience in a security sales working environment
  • National role with travel/overnight stays depending on the business needs.
