Purpose of the Job:
Our client, an extensive company providing FM services to businesses from building services to cleaning, catering and security, is looking for an exceptional Business Development Manager (Cleaning) to work alongside their determined and driven BD team to help push the company on through the next stage in their journey. As Business Development Manager, you will be able to deliver results, taking projects from cradle to grave, handing over winning bid to your operational colleagues and potentially assisting them in developing organic growth opportunities if appropriate. The right candidate will have the full sales tool kit and be able to competently network with senior decision makers and develop a pipeline within strategic targeted industries. You will lead the resultant tender opportunities, through to negotiation and winning close. Acute market knowledge combined with confidence derived from experience will be needed to be shown across all projects, regardless of size. The ideal Business Development Manager will have the skills required to build, maintain and deliver profitable business and will have demonstrable experience gained from previous years in a similar role and industry.

Person Specification:

  • Possess the skills to build, maintain and deliver profitable and operationally deliverable FM projects for which you will be rewarded highly both with exponential financial remuneration and professional development
  • Demonstrable experience gained from several years as a leading Business Development Manager or Director
  • Will have developed client focused, achievable solutions and be a self-motivated, target driven individual who leads from the front and who is keen to develop their career by way of growth of the division and a natural organic progression of your own career
  • Excel at solutioning, networking, relationship building and collaboration, with an extensive background in a cleaning/soft services environment or FM industry (ideally multi-sector)
  • Competent individual that has experience of delivering successful, large-scale FM solutions

Additional Information:

  • The role is working Monday to Friday between the hours of 09:00 - 17:30, however a flexible work schedule must be adapted, this could also include weekend working
  • You will need to be flexible with start and finish times as these will be determined as required, to suit the needs of the business
  • You will also need a full driving licence as you will be travelling between sites
