Role Description:
Our Client is a Company that has seen huge success during the 10 years since they been established and this is due to their commitment to sustainability, innovation and investment in people.
To support their growth, they are looking for an experienced Business Development Director to join their fast growing Team. As Business Development Director you will be required to work closely with the Senior Team, Business Development Executives, a Bid Writer and a Creative Bid Designer. The successful Business Development Director will have experience in a similar role, while forming sustainable relationships with both internal and external Staff. The main focus of this role is to bring in new Clients and business and will form part of the Company’s Senior Team. This role will also require working and liaising with the Head of Marketing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop Sales leads in line with Company strategy and as agreed with Head of Sales
  • Follow up Sales leads, periodic and ad-hoc quotes
  • Create a monthly Sales summary with regards to activity through CRM
  • Liaise with the Head of Marketing, identifying suitable strategies for the Company
  • Ensure quotes and invoices are accurate, while ensuring an appropriate profit margin
  • Create proposals and quotes supported by the Bid Manager
  • Work alongside the Graphic Designer to produce content for Sales pitches
  • Assist Head of Sales with skills development of BDMs in the Sales Team
  • Form effective working relationships with both internal and external Staff
  • Work closely with the Implementation Team to ensure accurate handover of new opportunities
  • Reach and exceed financial targets
  • Identify and agree new target Client categories with Head of Sales
