​Role: Building Safety Manager - Client Side

Salary: £50,370.00 - £56,889.00

Job Status: Full time/ Permanent

Location: Maidstone with travel across Kent

Role Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Building Safety Manager to take the lead in developing and delivering a robust health and safety strategy across a large, multi-site organisation. This is a pivotal position where you’ll play a key role in ensuring compliance, promoting a positive safety culture, and supporting major construction and property projects from design through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on health and safety compliance across all building and construction activities.

  • Provide expert guidance on the application of CDM Regulations 2015.

  • Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and regular safety audits.

  • Deliver engaging safety training and promote best practice at all levels.

  • Liaise with contractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies to maintain high safety standards.

  • Support project delivery with a strong focus on safety, quality, and timelines.

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree or HNC/HND in a relevant discipline.

  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent qualification).

  • Chartered membership of IOSH (or working towards).

  • In-depth understanding of current health and safety legislation.

  • Demonstrable experience in construction or civil engineering safety.

  • Excellent communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills.

  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Kent as required.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Proven experience managing multiple projects to strict deadlines.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and networking skills.

  • Background in working within small, collaborative teams.
