Role Description:
Our client, a highly reputable company within the cleaning division, is looking for an experienced Bid Manager to join their growing team. As Bid Manager, you will be responsible for a wider bid team, ensuring adherence at all stages of the bid journey from start to finish. The ideal Bid Manager will have industry knowledge and experience of managing a bid team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, support and lead the wider bid team to ensure adherence to bid timeline and governance
  • Be the point of contact for all bid queries
  • Record and save all bid information accurately and in line with company procedures
  • Research the customer and context
  • Work together with sales and influence win strategy ensuring its consistency throughout bid submission and subsequent presentations
  • Interview internal stakeholders and creatively write bid responses concisely
  • Improve internal network of stakeholders, act on feedback for each bid submission and build database to drive productivity
  • Lead a team of Bid Writers to ensure the deliverance of bespoke bids and presentations on time
  • Maintain and enhance a comprehensive bid library providing easy access to high quality subject matter and reference file of past submissions
  • Demonstrate flexibility to numerous requests for changes and improvements to bids within the company

Requirements:

  • High attention to detail with excellent editing and proofing ability
  • Excellent literacy skills, with a broad vocabulary
  • Deadline driven
  • Effective time management skills
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise workload
  • Industry knowledge is a plus, along with proven track record
  • Can demonstrate effective management skills and sectional understanding
  • Experience of managing a Bid Team
