Work Schedule: Day shifts - Weekdays. Night shifts - Weekend availability

Role Description:

Bridge Recruitment are currently networking for an Area Manager to join the Team of one of our clients, an innovative cleaning company providing service excellence to it's nationwide customer base. As Area Manager, you will be involved with the bus cleaning operations, covering 12 sites between London and Oxfordshire, all of which have their own Site Manager. The ideal Area Manager will have a minimum of three years managing and contract management experience, and will be flexible to meet the needs of the business with regards to your work schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, read and comply with the company’s Standard Operating Procedures relative to all cleaning activities

  • Ensure the Standard Operating Procedures are available and are read, understood and complied with by all staff at all times

  • Raise any issue of concern regarding the Standard Operating Procedures immediately with the Quality and/or the Health and Safety Manager/s. Until a resolution is agreed the Contract Manager must ensure all staff comply with all Standard Operating Procedures

  • Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety requirements stipulated by the company

  • Ensure that all specified cleaning equipment required to complete the work is used in the correct manner, paying particular attention to Health and Safety

  • Report any damaged or defective equipment to the Customer immediately, where a local resolution has not been found

  • Ensure all members of staff act appropriately at all times, paying due regard to other activities being undertaken on site, both by the Company and Customer’s employees

  • Work as a team member and be flexible in your approach

  • Actively take part in training as stipulated by the Company

  • Cooperate at all times with the Customer

  • Be available for weekend working where required

  • Carry out weekly auditing activities

  • Compile all documentation required by the Company in an accurate and timely manner and observe defined deadlines

  • Visit each site for which you are responsible once per week and conduct one to one meetings with the Site Manager

  • Complete a performance plan with the Site Manager at each location and provide support where required

  • Hold various types of meetings and create minutes

  • Promote a professional image and courteous manner at all times to colleagues and customers alike

Job Performance will be judged by the following criteria:

  • Results of vehicle cleaning audits

  • Results of office/building cleaning inspections

  • Results of Quality and Health and Safety audits

  • Reliability, promptness, sickness levels etc.

  • Relationship with management, members of staff and Customers

Experience:

  • Managing - three years (required)

  • Contract management - three years (required)

  • English (required)

  • Driving Licence (required)
