Role Description:
Our client is looking for an Area Manager to cover several sites in Scotland, from Glasgow all the way up to the top of the country.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Motivate and control Site Supervisors and cleaners working within a geographical area
  • To recruit, manage, motivate, support, and train the Site Supervisors and cleaners to maintain a quality cleaning service to client agreed S. L’s, K.P. I’s
  • Responsible for supply of materials, equipment and ensuring Site Supervisors and cleaners comply with all legislation
  • Responsible for the site records, and the completion of Audits and training records
  • Responsible for obtaining enquires/ orders for consumables, window cleaning, carpet cleaning, escalator cleaning high level cleaning and deep cleans from existing clients
  • You will also be expected to supply leads for new business opportunities in your region
  • To check and monitor the Site Supervisors and cleaners’ performance and activity by carrying out site visits (see schedule), quality audits (Mobile App), train cleaners to BICS standards and completing training records (mobile App)
  • Ensure Cleaning specifications are met (S.L’s/ K.P.I’s), all company guidelines and procedures are being adhered
  • Report and action any complaints/ non-conformance
  • To liaise daily with your Communications Centre Contract Coordinator to ensure any cleaner/ client issues are dealt with and closed out
  • To organise and carry out any periodic work or orders for additional work using site cleaners or local cleaners
  • Amend as necessary the weekly wages to meet budget requirements ensuring extra hours paid are charged (under and over) to clients and solo invoices are created
  • Attend by phone or in person the Tuesday ‘Start up’ meetings as required
  • Raise Contract Amendment CCL10’s for any amendments to the base computer system
  • To assist with significant new key account and national account contract mobilisation 
  • To attend 4 weekly regional team meetings
  • To ensure appearance of vehicle and cleaners is in line with company policy
  • To recruit cleaners working in conjunction with the call centre staff.
Required:
  • Working a flexible 40 hour week, (it may be required that you attend early morning shifts or evening night shifts) you will have experience of cleaning processes BICS or similar qualification
  • Have an aptitude to lead, supervise and control employees by your own example or by praising them and disciplining them
  • You need to be able to drive and have a clean Driving licence
  • Clean and tidy in your appearance
  • You need to be IT literate, to the extent of using a mobile/ smart phone.
