FM Industry Events are Back!

The Facilities Event, The Doyle Club, Events...

Since July 19th, restrictions have started to lift and here at Bridge Recruitment, we’re more than happy that industry events are coming back!

Don’t get us wrong, virtual events have been fantastic throughout the pandemic, giving us all the opportunity to still keep in touch with colleagues and attend webinars, expos and discussions. But being able to meet people in person, at events and seminars – you just cannot beat it!

Director Michelle Brightly attended The Doyle Club’s first in person meet last Thursday and said it was great to be back meeting people, networking and getting involved. She said: “Having been out of the networking scene for nearly two years, it was a great opportunity to meet industry connections again. The value of networking is significant and should be a part of everyone’s working agenda. It’s a great opportunity to learn about innovations, market trends, build your FM community network and most of all trigger new ideas and different ways of working. It was a great event and venue.”

The Doyle Club is an organisation for those involved in the construction, development, property and FM industries and they get together on the first Thursday of every month, giving members the chance to meet, network and share ideas with each other. Due to the pandemic, this hasn’t been able to happen, so their meet-up last Thursday was something to remember.

But that’s not all! IWFM are back with their IWFM Conference and Annual AGM, both taking place in September. Full details can be found here. Like many others, IWFM and Rising FMs members have had to meet virtually, and have all of their conferences and seminars online, so again, getting back to in-person meetings has been a long time coming.

Additionally, in terms of exhibitions, The Facilities Event is back in Birmingham next month. Dedicated to the Facilities Management industry, the expo offers a range of activities designed to give visitors the chance to engage, network and share ideas with like-minded professionals. We are delighted that real-life events are taking place again, and we hope you are too!
