Working with Schools Initiative - Highams Park School
As part of our 'Working with Schools' initiative, Director Michelle Brightly and Recruitment Consultant David De Souza, visited Highams Park School to participate in their careers event and spoke to students about opportunities within the Facilities Management industry.
Throughout the course of the morning, Michelle and David conducted mock interviews with the students based on a 'job application' they had filled out prior to the event. After interviewing, they then assessed students on their performance, how they presented themselves and whether there was room for improvement.
Additionally, Michelle and David spoke to the students about the Facilities Management industry and the career opportunities available.
At Bridge, we think it's important for young people to be aware of the range of possibilities with regards to the FM industry. This is one of the main reasons we like to take part in the 'Working with Schools' initiative, giving students an insight and opening their eyes to job prospects they may not have known about beforehand.
The day was a huge success, and Michelle and David thoroughly enjoyed attending the careers event and speaking with the students.
David said of the event: "It was fantastic to be a part of Highams Park School's careers assessment day. It's amazing to be able to offer guidance to the next generation and to see such high potential between all the students. I wish them all the best of luck with their future."
