Location: Leeds, Yorkshire (remote but must be able to travel to Leeds HQ from time to time)

Role Description:

Our client is the UK’s fastest growing Soft FM service provider. Already being market leaders in multiple sectors, they are planning to expand soon and are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Business Manager to join their growing team. As Senior Business Development Manager you will be identifying and securing new business opportunities in line with company strategy, to fulfil those growth plans. You will be required to build a strong pipeline of FM opportunities on a national basis and develop then close these new business opportunities. As an ideal Senior Business Development Manager, you will have a minimum of three years’ experience in an FM role, and demonstrable experience gained from several years as a Business Development Manager.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Win new business through your outstanding ability to consult, negotiate and secure new customers

  • Build and maintain a network within strategic target industries sectors

  • Identify customer opportunities (nationally), develop, and nurture these client relationships to identify offerings that can add value and increase customer portfolio

  • Take ownership for your own success through the delivery of sales excellence, with autonomy to initiate and develop opportunities and relationships

  • Act as Brand Ambassador, increase company awareness and drive sales, striving to place the company as the customer’s preferred supplier

  • Work closely in collaboration with the bid, estimating and operations teams to develop competitive, innovative and compelling service solutions; articulated through tender returns and client presentations

  • Manage the Sales to Operations handover process of winning solutions and support successful contract mobilisation

  • Ensure the data integrity of the CRM system

Skills and Qualities:

  • Great understanding of solution selling, a consultative approach and provide market intelligence

  • Ambitious and enthusiastic towards your own success and company growth plans

  • Lead tender opportunities, through to negotiation and winning close

  • Acute market knowledge combined with confidence derived from experience will be needed to be shown across all projects

  • Ability to competently network with senior decision makers and develop a pipeline within strategic targeted industries

Required:

  • A minimum of three years’ experience in FM

  • UK driving licence and a willingness to travel nationally
