An opportunity has arisen to work for small independently owned contract cleaning business, who focus on providing an excellent cleaning service efficiently predominantly within the public sector.  With exciting growth plans, they are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager to join their team. Reporting directly into the Managing Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of exceptional cleaning standards which exceed client expectations across the whole business portfolio. Their approach is based on the core values of hard work and reliability and is underpinned by a strong support function and infrastructure, which has been key in winning and retaining their clients trust and developing ongoing working relationships. Your role will be to provide guidance and support to three area managers to help deliver and maintain best value quality cleaning to the agreed standards and specifications, whilst maintaining/developing client relationships.  
 
Role Description: 
  • Develop and maintain effective and pro-active working relationships with key members of the clients’ management team, including meeting with them on a regular basis
  • To monitor the performance of the Sub Contractors
  • Prepare accurate, timely client reports to ensure compliance with agreed deadlines
  • Managing Health and Safety, including COSHH in line with relevant policies, legislation method statements and risk assessments 
  • Staff recruitment, development, support, performance and attendance in line with company policies 
  • Wages, site budgets and costs for associated services 
  • Ensure monthly Quality and Health and Safety audits are carried out and administered 
  • Contribute towards continued growth and development of contract
  • Liaise with colleagues to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Liaise with Customers and Clients as required
  • Ability to manage people effectively Review standards, and ‘upsell’ additional services, e.g. window cleaning, carpet cleaning etc
  • Quote for additional works to be passed to Managing Director for approval and formal quotes to be sent
