Role Description:

Our client is a privately owend business with a passion for service delivery, specialising in the cleaning market.  They stand by their principles and are determined to continue their success as a fast growing, quality driven business.  To further support their growth, they are seeking a HR Director to join their Team, acting as a Confident to the CEO, helping with both the strategic direction and day to day leadership of the inhouse recruitment Team.  Ideally you will have a background in managing TUPE processes as there is a significant volume of employees joining the business and therefore the procedures and processes need to be robust.  You will also lead high level communications between the Executive Board and Senior Management Team.

Duties:

  • Create and implement employee relation policies to assist with employee job satisfaction
  • Devise a list of procedures and practices for hiring new employees and managing the Team
  • Establish an orientation procedure for on boarding new hires and training them to meet the needs of the company
  • Develop a strategic plan for a variety of HR matters such as employee engagement, incentivisation, benefits, health and safety etc
  • Act to support the human factor in the company by devising strategies for performance evaluation, staffing, training and development etc
  • Lead the HR team in all daily tasks and provide ongoing guidance
  • Serve as a point of contact for employment relations and communicate with trade unions
  • Monitor adherence to internal policies and legal standards
  • Ensure effective handling of all grievance and violations invoking disciplinary action when required
  • Anticipate and resolve litigation risks
  • Report to Senior Management by analysing data and using HR metrics.

  • Proven experience as a HR Director/Head of HR
  • Extensive knowledge of employment legislation and regulations#
  • Diligent and firm with high ethical standards
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management and leadership skills
  • A business acumen partnered with attention to the human element
  • CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma in HR Management
  • BSc / BA in human resources, business administration or relevant field; MSc / MA in Human Resources
