Role Description:
Bridge are currently networking for a Business Development Manager to join the Team of one of our clients, a leading company within the FM sector, providing services to customers UK-wide. As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for building and developing the company's success in the education sector, playing a major part in the company's growth plan. The ideal Business Development Manager will possess exceptional communication skills, along with a good understanding of consultative selling and a service sales background.
Responsibilities:
Seek out and develop new relationships with Independent Educational sector prospective clients
Create meaningful, inquisitive dialogue to understand their needs
Build solutions to deliver results for both clients and the company, with the support of subject matter experts
Be an integral part of the sales team, contributing to the wider success of the company
Build close working relationships with internal partners including, marketing, sales colleagues, bid management, commercial teams, and service delivery colleagues
Collate information and report on trends, and opportunities, feeding into and developing marketing plans for the Independent Educational sector
Develop into the subject matter expert for the Independent Education sector
Develop client relationships and deliver ongoing growth
Create and propose solutions by obtaining a deep understanding of client requirements, and present to clients
Identify opportunities to introduce new services to the market
Take the lead on client retention, working closely with service colleagues
Essential:
Exceptional communication skills with high levels of social awareness
Ability to build relationships at all levels, particularly with prestigious clients
Excellent understanding of the English language, both verbal and written
Excellent capability with the standard business functions of Microsoft office 365
Good understanding of consultative selling, preferably with a service sales background
Desirable:
Knowledge of bid management
Knowledge of the Independent Education Sector
Knowledge of CRM systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics
Commercial awareness (profit and loss/basic accounting/financial modelling principles)

Acquisition of new clients, in line with the company's ideal client criteria and growth strategy
Developing and presenting meaningful value propositions to prospective clients
Meeting financial targets
Meeting KPI, CRM and internal sales process metrics
Service development and ongoing continuous improvement
