The role covers the UK and will expand into Europe and the ideal candidates will be required to demonstrate a minimum 5 years sales experience in the FM Industry. In the role the Business Development Director will be responsible for seeking out new business, building a strong sales pipeline, achieving a high level of conversion of leads to opportunities, opportunities to orders and key account relationship management.
You must have good commercial skills, ability and influence to sell higher-margin services, you will also be required to support the estimators and bid writers by attending site surveys, preparing cost estimates and assist with writing the contract specific sections of the proposal submission for contracts with annual value £100K – £3million.
The successful candidate will work as part of the company Sales & Bid team playing a major part in securing new business, and spending some of the time working on upselling and rebids with existing customers.
Innovative thinking, new ideas whilst working to deadlines is important as is a capability of completing detailed contract negotiations.
Candidates will be expected to travel within the UK/Europe, work from the London office or from home, you will need to be market and customer focussed, tenacious and targets/results driven.
