Role Description:
Our client, a well-established company within the commercial cleaning industry, is looking to appoint an Assistant Operations Manager to join their team. The successful Assistant Operations Manager will have relevant knowledge and experience in the market and will need to be flexible with regards to working hours and ensuring an effective service to meet the needs of the client. As Assistant Operations Manager, you will be working with clients in the education and commercial sectors, so knowledge of these would be beneficial.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the Operations Manager in the day to day running of the business
  • Develop work rules and guidelines for company employees
  • Identify what is required for staff to carry out their duties
  • Schedule projects and ensure assignments are carried out as planned
  • Work hand-in-hand with top management staff with regards to work, operational issues and other activities
  • Serve as a guide to new employees so as to make sure that they adhere to company rules and that the result of their various tasks meet company standards
  • Oversee financial issues and the development of long-term goals that enhance company growth
  • Carry out evaluation of company’s present operational goals and suggest ways of improving important areas
  • Maintain and organise company’s facilities
  • Educate Operations Team on company policies and excellent service standards
     

Skills and Requirements:

  • Must possess good communication skills on all fronts and must be a people person with good interpersonal skills
  • Must also portray good leadership abilities
  • Must be able to work and deliver within given timeframes
  • Should be able to work as part of a team on a regular basis
  • Must have good analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
  • Have a good understanding of how an administrative setting operates and also know what is required at any given time
  • Experience in a similar working background would be ideal
  • Experience in basic computer programs is also of great importance
  • Will need to be flexible in terms of working hours - some days may be longer than eight hours
  • Willing to be hands-on to meet service expectations
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Full clean driving licence
