Role Description:

Bridge Recruitment are currently networking to fill the role of Area Manager for one of our clients, a highly reputable company providing cleaning and support services to customers across the UK. As Area Manager, your main objective is client satisfaction and retention. Other responsibilities of the Area Manager include nurturing and managing teams, P&L and maintaining and growing the customer base. The ideal Area Manager will have experience and industry knowledge along with excellent organisation, presentation and training skills to name a few.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate and control the safe provision of professional cleaning and associated services to clients

  • Organise the mobilisation of the contract

  • Plan the service provision in accordance with the specification adhering to the contractual agreement

  • Plan, coordinate and control recruitment of all sites in accordance with company’s policies and labour budgets

  • Ensure vetting of all recruited personnel

  • Ensure induction, functional and, if appropriate, refresher training for personnel

  • Ensure all Quality Audits are completed in accordance with the client’s requirements and or company internal objectives

  • Ensure regular effective communication with clients and client's representatives

  • Assist the Helpdesk in managing all client requests and responding in the correct time frame

  • Ensure the management of disciplinary issues in accordance with company’s policies and procedures are adhered to

  • Control all wage budgets and deal with any queries that may occur in conjunction with payroll

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE legislation

  • Ensure effective use of consumables in line with set budgets

  • Ensure client satisfaction

  • Assist Branch Manager with contract retention by reporting on clients ongoing requirements, expectations and opportunities for the company

  • Ensure that all contracts that may be at risk are communicated to your Branch Manager and actioned accordingly

  • Ensure that all management administration is completed and sent to the correct departments in accordance with the timeframes given each month

  • Increase revenue with existing contracts

  • Bring in sales leads in accordance to the Branch strategy

  • Any other reasonable duties requested by your Line Manager

  • Fulfil the duties of the Area Manager in accordance with this job description and all the related Internal Mandatory Documentation

  • Ensure that the quality of service provided always corresponds to company standards and client's contractual agreement

  • Comply with all HSE requirements at all times

  • Suggest improvements to service provision or management system whenever possible

  • Plan the service provision and recruitment

  • Plan the corrective and preventive actions in case of nonconformity

  • Delegate tasks to Site Supervisors

  • Suggest improvements of Quality Management Services

  • Other as described in related Internal Mandatory Documentation

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of industry and relevant normative documentation

  • Trainer’s skills and experience

  • Leadership skills

  • Presentation skills

  • Organisational skills

  • Driver licence

  • Experience in working with employees with English as second language

  • IT literacy, especially Microsoft Excel

  • DBS documents, as some clients are schools and public sites which require this
